Downturn means more work for specialty diesel-engine shop

B & G Machine Inc. has fared better than many manufacturers during the recession, maintaining a steady work force of about 50 when others are downsizing. The South Seattle company rebuilds diesel engines for enormous mining trucks and large work boats, and Vice President and Operations Manager Johnnie Bianchi said demand remains strong.
