This machine can bore and sleeve cylinders, main bearing bores, cam bores, and surface blocks and heads. The machine is completely programmable and repeats to .0001″. This control gives B&G the edge over other shops with outdated, conventional boring bars. Capacity: 132 inches, Horizontal. Infinitely variable spindle speeds to 1000rpm, infinitely variable feed rates to .040″/rev.

Rottler F88 two axis machining centers (2)
Like the F99Y, our F88′s are dedicated machining the decks and cylinder of large diesel engine blocks. The F88 is also programmable and repeats to within .0001″. B&G Machine was one of the first in the industry worldwide to employ this technology. Since that time, this equipment has been the backbone of our engine block department. Capacity: 108 inches, Horizontal. Infinitely variable spindle speeds to 1000rpm, infinitely variable feed rates to .040″/rev.

Rottler F84 two axis machining center
This high speed boring bar utilizes much of the same technology as the larger machines, but allows twice the spindle rpm. With the ability to turn 2000rpm, the F84 is a high volume production oriented machine ideal for boring and sleeving cylinder blocks up to the size of a 3412. The machine can bore a cylinder bank unattended and compliments the larger Rottlers by acting as a quick was to turn some of the smaller blocks without tying up a larger machine. Capacity: 84 inches, Horizontal. Infinitely variable spindle speeds to 2000rpm, infinitely variable feed rates to .040″/rev.

Rottler F65 three axis machining center
Through the use of computer programming technology, the F65 provides the foundation for much of our general machining. Boring and surfacing for machining for many of the odd housings that come in are done in this machine. The F65 can be used to blueprint engine blocks. It can also be used to quickly get a job through that would otherwise tie up one of the larger boring and surfacing machines.

Cylinder Head Department

Speed, accuracy and technology define B&G Machine’s cylinder head department. Precision cutting tools, CBN technology, and efficient machinery make our cylinder head department dynamic. We machine all makes and models. We are able to build cylinder heads with all new replacement parts rather than accept qualified valve train often associated with exchange cylinder heads. With the use of world class innovation, B&G’s cylinder head department out performs most others giving you the best product that the industry can offer.

Rottler SF2 surfacing machine
A high speed volume oriented surfacing machine capable of producing consistent and exact surface finishes. B&G was one of the first companies in our industry to use the SF2′s technology in our cylinder head department. Rottler pioneered CBN technology and B&G immediately followed suit, breaking away from traditional grinders which produce heat while machining. This rigid machine gives us the ability to machine cylinder heads better than other machine shops… cylinder heads with tolerances that exceed the requirements set by the OEM.

SERDI 100 seat and guide machine
The SERDI 100 seat and guide machine is a revolutionary machine specially designed to machined valves seats. With the ability to machine all three seat angles in one cut, this machine gives B&G quality beyond most… especially when compared to people who still use stones to cut valve seats. Valve seat to guide concentricity is machined to within .002″ while the often overlooked valve protrusion is controlled from cylinder head to cylinder head. The machine utilizes airfloat technology, a live pilot, and a floating sphere to locate guide bores. This unique technology gives B&G the ability to accurately and efficiently machine valve seats.
